Timerange Privacy Policy

By using Timerange, you consent to this privacy policy.

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted in Timerange on all Apple platforms, including iPhone and iPad.

All collected data is used only to improve the app and user experience.

What data is collected

Timerange collects anonymized data using multiple platforms for analytics, including Apple’s built in analytics system, Firebase, RevenueCat and AdMob. More on each one of them below.

Built-in analytics system by Apple sends basic anonymized data about app crashes, device types, locales, and session length.

Firebase sends anonymized data about what features people use, how many users does the app have, how fast people are updating to new versions, as well as basic info like session length, device types and app crashes.

RevenueCat sends anonymized data about purchases made inside the app, specifically, in which country a purchase was made and at what time. Data about purchases in RevenueCat is not linked to a user’s identity.

AdMob collects anonymized data about the performance of ads in the free version of the app. It’s disabled when you purchase Timerange Plus upgrade inside the app, because no ads are shown.

No other information is collected. Your calculations, time counters, settings and all the other data entered by you resides on your device only. Some of it may also be in your personal iCloud account. I don’t need any user-entered data to work on the app and improve it.

How the collected data is used

Crash reports and device information are used to fix crashes as soon as they start happening for users. Metrics about the app usage, including purchases data and which features are used the most, is used to prioritize the development of new features for the app. Data about ads performance is used to disable or enable certain types of ads, and understand how much revenue do ads generate. Finally, purchases data and ads performance data are used to calculate how much revenue the app generates in total.

Permission to track

When you launched the app for the first time, you have seen an alert asking you to allow tracking your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. This will only affect ads that are shown in the app. If you allow tracking, special identifier used for advertising will be sent to AdMob, the ads platform that Timerange uses, and it will let AdMob show more relevant ads to you. If you don’t allow tracking, AdMob will show less relevant ads. The app has no means of tracking you other than this.

You can always disable tracking by going to your device’s Settings app > Timerange and switching the “Allow Tracking” toggle off.

Sharing information and interaction with other apps

Timerange allows you to share information, like results of your calculations, or create Calendar events from the result of the date calculation. This data is not being collected or protected. This is only your responsibility to protect that information. Data from other apps like the Calendar is not visible to Timerange.
